About the Author
C. Boyd Pfeiffer is an internationally-known award-winning journalist writing for the Baltimore Sun, Washington Post, Washington Times and Baltimore Examiner and several magazines; he has authored more than 25 books. He writes a regular column on the Internet entitled "Religious Skepticism Examiner." Boyd has received dozens of awards for his writing. His interest in religion stems from his childhood background in a Protestant faith and continued as skepticism when he reached his teens. At Gettysburg College he was taught the "official" history of the bible; he has been self-educating ever since, reading extensively on religion, atheism, philosophy and history, and taking every opportunity to discuss, debate and argue religion of all types and flavors with anyone at all – from those of minimal faith to Bible students, Seminary students, ministers, rabbis, imams, church deacons and elders and the like. For the most part, he found that such discussions got nowhere, as most of his interlocutors could provide no answers (or at best highly questionable information) to his question and the concerns at hand

Pray for the author...

Americans are quick to point out the flaws in other religions, yet we blindly ignore all of the ridiculous and impossible events described in the Bible and we stubbornly follow Christianity without ever admitting that, yes, Christianity is based on bulls*** also, and that the bible was pieced together by a bunch of men with ulterior motives and wild imaginations. True, like most religions, it is aimed at trying to get us all to behave nicely toward one another, but then it tells us to kill and maim those who don't do it our way. Pretty much like Islam, huh?
Pfeiffer obviously did some extensive research and reading before putting this book together and summing up so many of the reasons why Christianity, and religion in general, is really no more credible than those flashy, private-jet-flying, Rolex-wearing TV evangelists who claim to have an inside track with God. I got a kick out of reading the book and about descriptions of incidents like Pfeiffer stumping the door-knocking Jehovah's Witnesses (or Mormons or whatever church was behind the proselytizers who came calling in his neighborhood) with a simple question. If you're like me and think that organized religions are generally just something to hypnotize the masses, you'll enjoy reading this book. I doubt that the bullheaded, blind-believers would get much from the book, as they tend to ignore truth anyway, but some of them might learn a little from it.
Yep. It's time to pray for Boyd Pfeiffer, but not because God will be mad at him. Some of those evangelists might be really pissed, though.
