Dr. Kalogeras delves deep into the ideal of transmedia as a convergent entity with a lens on its place in higher education. Audiences are introduced to what transmedia storytelling is as a tool of learning and teaching, not just as a form of expression where new media is concerned. Where I think Dr. Kalogeras really drives home the idea and [point] of transmedia storytelling as an integral part of the future of "convergence" rests in her specification of "edutainment" and how its role is to not only educate and entertain the students, but also teachers and their varying methodologies and forms of pedagogy. I think this book is a wonderful expression of that belief from beginning to end, educating audiences on the future of education, specifically higher education and the role of media convergence in its [education] ever-changing landscape.
